So in between texting Fabio about how there was no way I was coming home for work due to the weather, he notified me about a spot that he had found in a old book that we needed to look at. So long story short, get out of the park and keep your eyes open because you never know when you might find a spot. Whether it is shredable or not you are almost always guaranteed an adventure and that's what bmx is all about. But yeah our spot wasn't rideable and we even got stuck in the mud in my truck, but we still had a ton of fun
and
happy birthday to a good friend and one of the first people i met when i moved to az. this has made me go thru a lot of old photos; not to cry over, but to re-live some of the shit that happend. from wild pool parties to burning the shit outta d's neck, helping me write my name in blood in the kitchen, to talking me into using a PBR bottle as a club. today is not a day to cry, but to smile. everyone knew Kotter was not a man who would want us mopping around, even though it can be hard not to. he was a r religious man (though some of his actions may not have shown it hahaha) and because of that he is in a better place now.
this is the first time ive really said anything about this, because ive just been in a state of shock, not really grasping what happend leaving me with a lack of words. this should show us all not to sweat the small stuff, forgive an forget. if you have someone close to you, hug em, tell your parents you love em. do all that sappy shit you sometimes forget to do. dont take any one friend, or family member for granted.
and i'll wrap this all up with a simple saying from real philosopher:
"Life is short you only live once and aint no telling when your leaving. So I'm going to do it all have a ball while I'm still living and breathing."
- Andre "Mac Dre" Hicks
On December 12 2008, a great person was swept away from us. Clinton
"Kotter" Bell will forever be one of the best friends I have ever had. He was always down to go ride even though he would ALWAYS be late, probably because he either had to shower or feed the mules. Kotter was the only person I knew who would go on random hunting trips. Once he returned there were always new random stories and lots of meat in the freezer. He was the guy you could call for anything and he'd be there in a heart beat. Kotter was always looking out for his friends and had helped me out alot during some tough times. On a ridiculous note he had the largest collection of male thongs I had ever seen, and was never afraid to shred one at any given moment. Its so wild that he's gone, I find myself just waiting for him to walk through the back gate with a 40oz of Budweiser and a Turkish gold ready for a good time. Kotter may be gone but he will live on through all of us. Till we meet again my friend. - brian booya
"as you probably have heard, Kotter was in a bad car accident and didnt make it out. He was a good friend to so many people, and his family feels blessed for having such an amazing son/ brother. here is the information on the funeral service if you plan on attending...
Thursday Dec 18 3pm Bueler's mortuary its in chandler by chandler high and elmers tacos. also, parking is kind of limited. so if you can, try to car pool. there will be no viewing, just a service to celebrate and remember his life.
The alley behind elmers will have a rest in piece mural dedicated to Kotter so if u want to take pictures its behind the muscle car garage.
