We were riding Goodyear today when another rider brought it to my attention that this guy wearing a name badge, dressed in business causal clothing who was in the park. This guy had called someone and stated that "there are pegs in the park". I don't know who he was talking to but I figured the cops. Since they have been out there handing out tickets to people with pegs. There was only one person in the park with pegs and he didn't know about the rule, which he was then explained to/ told about. Seriously who reads the rules before entering a park? This is just a little FYI for you all, don't ride pegs and screw things up for the rest of us.
Brain Barns parks and rec director for Goodyear going to the city council about our future in the park. Some of the suggestions being thrown around by him and others are seperate sessions for bikes and boards. Which doesn't sound too bad but for some reason they think that bikes only account for 1/3 of the users. This translates into less sessions for us. O ther ideas include; enforement of plastic pedals and paying to ride a public park. The City Council meeting will be held on Monday, February 26th at 6 pm at the Justice Facility, located at 986 South Litchfield Road. If you can go be there, the more people that ride that can come will show the council that there are a large amount of bikes that use/care about riding the park.
Message board's up. shit's hot. sign in. fuckshitup.

This was posted on the fence all over the park.
There is a short video posted up on Vital bmx of a session at Goodyear. It's the same people as the last AZ video they put up but still good none the less. I need to buy a video camera and get some videos up of the rest of you unknown shredders that ride out there.

I finally made it out to check out the bike friendly park that the City of Glendale is building on 83rd Ave. and Bethany Home Rd. It looked pretty rad even with out the concrete layed. While I was there taking pictures, the parks and rec director for Glendale Rebecca Benna just happened to be there. We had a short conversation about the park, she seem very positive about the bikes being in the park and coexisting with the skateboards. She, told me that Glendale will be assembling at council for the X-park made up of users to better the park for the rest of us. She could not give me a date of when the park is suppose to be open but I've been hearing rumors of May.
